Erdodubiste UFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Grigore Fetanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Martin Bărnuțiu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Claudinho Marques skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 42 minutes of play, Erdodubiste UFC's Aron Lupoaia made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sever Neața was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Iuri Paraíba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grigore Fetanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Neața having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
In the 53rd minute of the match Erdodubiste UFC got a corner. Ghimpoaia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. In the 76th minute, Ghimpoaia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Aron Lupoaia fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jon Ahlén hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After 79 played minutes Ghimpoaia got a freekick which was hit by Eric Nedelcea. Denis Agârbiceanu struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. If Albert Ronaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aron Lupoaia got free with Sever Neața in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
