When u craiova's Markus Stenquist in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zavoaia's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of u craiova booed when Zavoaia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 7th minute of the match u craiova got a corner. Zavoaia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Niculae Cozaru ran over to the corner to take the kick. Markus Stenquist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Anton Povară tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iurie Şiman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Povară having to interfere. Gigi Buculeasa kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. If Markus Stenquist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Markus Stenquist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anton Povară read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. In the 29th minute Markus Stenquist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Povară saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vlad Alb's late challenge caught a u craiova's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vlad Alb helped the player get up and apologised. Vlad Alb hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After having played for 38 minutes, Iurie Şiman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. u craiova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iurie Şiman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anton Povară came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by u craiova's Markus Stenquist. But to his dismay, Markus Stenquist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Iurie Şiman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Markus Stenquist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Povară having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alex Moromete was the one to do the kick off. Iosif Măliță's late challenge caught a u craiova's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The goalkeeper, Anton Povară, was totally fooled by u craiova's Niculae Cozaru, who 54 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 59th minute Martin Pop shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilie Arnăuțoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iurie Şiman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anton Povară having to make a save. Zavoaia's Anton Povară played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc Hjeltman in the 88th minute of play. After having played for 89 minutes, Iurie Şiman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. u craiova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iurie Şiman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 96th minute, Nichifor Cozaru reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Anton Povară. The goal made the score 1-4.
