The supporters of Khorinis Knights booed when Zavoaia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Pop didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Khorinis Knights getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Lucian Bitănescu hit a great ball. Valentin Maghiran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Moromete, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Dumitru Melentie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Khorinis Knights's supporters rose to their feet, but Dumitru Melentie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anton Povară breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 11 minutes into the match, Zavoaia's Alex Moromete sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valentin Maghiran narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Romeo Buciuman hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Valentin Maghiran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Moromete, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dumitru Melentie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Alex Moromete managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zavoaia's supporters rose to their feet, but Alex Moromete was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valentin Maghiran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 33 played minutes Khorinis Knights got a freekick which was hit by Dumitru Melentie. Valentin Maghiran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Pop in the 34th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Khorinis Knights's zone, Alex Moromete stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Maghiran came out of the goal and Alex Moromete tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zavoaia's Martin Pop got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Khorinis Knights's Valentin Maghiran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Moromete in the 42nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alex Moromete in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valentin Maghiran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Martin Pop had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alex Moromete to make the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Mugur Asachi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Khorinis Knights's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mugur Asachi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alex Moromete blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valentin Maghiran having to make a save. Martin Pop received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Valentin Maghiran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 66 played minutes Khorinis Knights got a freekick which was hit by Dumitru Melentie. After a defensive mix-up in Khorinis Knights's zone, Martin Pop stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Maghiran came out of the goal and Martin Pop tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Martin Pop struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Valentin Maghiran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zavoaia. Martin Pop could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Valentin Maghiran made a huge save. Khorinis Knights's defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when Martin Pop scored to the left of an out of position Valentin Maghiran, making the score, 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Martin Pop managed to get in a good position for a shot. The referee ignored Khorinis Knights's protests and gave Cazimir Dănănae a yellow card for diving instead. In the 95th match minute, Khorinis Knights was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cazimir Dănănae to maneuver through the defense. Iosif Măliță was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 97th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Zavoaia's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
