After 4 played minutes, Mantu AFC's Denis Mocanu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mihnea Tincu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mantu AFC reached it. Iustinian Hidiș received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iustinian Hidiș could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Daniel Goiciu made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Zbârnea in the 34th minute of play forced Mantu AFC's goalkeeper Daniel Goiciu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert Bărbânță struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Mihnea Tincu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mantu AFC. After having played for 40 minutes, Eric Zbârnea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gelmar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eric Zbârnea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pavel Goiciu struck a weak shot in the 49th minute. Mihnea Tincu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mantu AFC. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Iustinian Hidiș scored 1-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Daniel Goiciu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 64 minutes, Pavel Goiciu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mantu AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pavel Goiciu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Goiciu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Zbârnea in the 67th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mantu AFC's zone, Iustinian Hidiș stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Goiciu came out of the goal and Iustinian Hidiș tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gelmar's Iustinian Hidiș got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Mantu AFC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Denis Mocanu hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Mantu AFC's Pavel Goiciu got a free kick in the 76th minute. Mihnea Tincu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Bărbânță in the 77th minute of the match. Iustinian Hidiș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Goiciu having to interfere. Gelmar's Eric Zbârnea got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iustinian Hidiș received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Daniel Goiciu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iustinian Hidiș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Goiciu having to interfere. In the 97th minute Iustinian Hidiș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Goiciu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Gelmar players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
