Spectators: 5010 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 10) Viorel Nandriș made the kick off and thus started the match. Martin Necula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ioan Simionaş charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ioan Simionaş the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th match minute, F.C. Brasov was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ioan Simionaş to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. Brasov's zone, Pavel Runcu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leontin Maghiar came out of the goal and Pavel Runcu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 8 minutes into the match, Moise Zbanţ had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leontin Maghiar. F.C. Brasov's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Moise Zbanţ was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 11th match minute, Sotrile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mircea Visarion to maneuver through the defense. Viorel Nandriș received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Dragoş Ionete tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Ioan Simionaş reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dragoş Ionete. The goal made the score 1-1. In the 23rd minute, F.C. Brasov's Jim Grall dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Jim Grall could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Dragoş Ionete made a huge save. Dragoş Ionete came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by F.C. Brasov's Ioan Simionaş. But to his dismay, Ioan Simionaş quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. David Bungeanu made in the 31st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Olimpiu Noica. After some careless play in the F.C. Brasov defense, Olimpiu Noica kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leontin Maghiar. The F.C. Brasov fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leontin Maghiar should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, F.C. Brasov's Gavril Păstrăv got a free kick in the 39th minute. David Bungeanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pavel Runcu was the one to do the kick off. Pavel Runcu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute Viorel Nandriș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dragoş Ionete saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jim Grall's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dragoş Ionete read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. After a rather tough play, F.C. Brasov's Jim Grall got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Sotrile's Olimpiu Noica got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Viorel Nandriș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Isac Drumeș fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sotrile's protests and gave Isac Drumeș a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th minute, Calistrat Mironescu sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sotrile's Dragoş Ionete didn't even have to move. Dragoş Ionete made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viorel Nandriș in the 87th minute of play. Olimpiu Noica made in the 93rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Pavel Runcu immediately put the ball in play. If Olimpiu Noica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
