Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gheorghe Miu took the kick off in the first half of the match. Anton Prodan's late challenge caught a Figo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anton Prodan helped the player get up and apologised. Anton Prodan kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. If Petru Geambașu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Figo FC's Ernest Dănilă got a free kick in the 8th minute. The audience was convinced that Petru Geambașu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silviu Tomoioagă was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Karl-Åke Bergqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gheorghe Miu in the 14th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Ernest Dănilă was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Figo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave fc.brasov the free kick. Ernest Dănilă kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Silviu Tomoioagă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petru Geambașu in the 18th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petru Geambașu in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silviu Tomoioagă prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Petru Geambașu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petru Geambașu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Silviu Tomoioagă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the game, Cezar Chiliman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Silviu Tomoioagă was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Leonard Agud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Silviu Tomoioagă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Petru Geambașu put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Silviu Tomoioagă.

Nicu Ignătoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 54 minutes into the game, Iacob Conta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Figo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave fc.brasov the free kick. After 54 played minutes Figo FC got a freekick which was hit by Iacob Conta. fc.brasov's Silviu Tomoioagă proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save fc.brasov from getting a goal against them. If Leonard Agud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl-Åke Bergqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicu Ignătoiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 61 minutes into the match, fc.brasov's goalkeeper Silviu Tomoioagă had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Petru Geambașu. Cezar Chiliman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd minute, fc.brasov's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cezar Chiliman fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Cezar Chiliman struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Silviu Tomoioagă didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Figo FC. In the 81st match minute, fc.brasov was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rareș Racoviceanu to maneuver through the defense. If Cezar Chiliman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mugur Chivulescu, 85 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Karl-Åke Bergqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gheorghe Miu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Petru Geambașu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 91stth minute, Silviu Tomoioagă skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Cezar Chiliman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Figo FC played a much better game than fc.brasov and deserved their victory. The fc.brasov players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
