Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5250, Seating: 1610, VIP seats: 140) Toplita's Vintilă Măgherușan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Virsesti AS got a freekick which was hit by Nicolae Oprescu. Gigi Stoicănescu came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Virsesti AS's Ciprian Morozan. But to his dismay, Ciprian Morozan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Gigi Stoicănescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciprian Morozan in the 13th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciprian Morozan in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gigi Stoicănescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 18 played minutes Toplita got a freekick which was hit by Dorel Doicaru. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasile Corvin in the 19th minute of play forced Toplita's goalkeeper Gigi Stoicănescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23 played minutes Toplita got a freekick which was hit by Ilie Săvulescu. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Vasile Corvin sped through Toplita's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gigi Stoicănescu. In the 32nd minute Vasile Corvin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Stoicănescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ciprian Morozan in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gigi Stoicănescu saved Toplita from getting behind. In the 41st minute, Vasile Corvin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gigi Stoicănescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ciprian Morozan in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gigi Stoicănescu saved Toplita from getting behind. After the first half Virsesti AS were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Vasile Corvin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Gigi Stoicănescu made a huge save. Leonard Andreescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilian Dragoș in the 59th minute of the match. In the 64th match minute, Virsesti AS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciprian Morozan to maneuver through the defense. When %teams%'s Ciprian Morozan was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 0-4 just inside the left pole, 66 minutes into the game. Gigi Stoicănescu was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. Leonard Andreescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emilian Dragoș went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. In the 74th minute, Vasile Corvin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gigi Stoicănescu had great luck who in the 76thth minute grab hold of the ball when Ciprian Morozan from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Niculae Oloieru during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Toplita booed when Virsesti AS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niculae Oloieru didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute, Virsesti AS's Ciprian Morozan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gigi Stoicănescu. Gigi Stoicănescu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. Vasile Corvin took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gigi Stoicănescu. Gigi Stoicănescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. Virsesti AS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
