Valentin Ciutacu came out of the goal and Marcu Gheondea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ARD-CFR1907CLUJ's Valentin Ciutacu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save ARD-CFR1907CLUJ from getting a goal against them. Paul Buligan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Ciutacu having to interfere. When FCM Pascani's Ciprian Boștină in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Marcu Gheondea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Valentin Ciutacu made a huge save. 26 minutes into the match, ARD-CFR1907CLUJ's goalkeeper Valentin Ciutacu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paul Buligan. Octavian Udrescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Valentin Ciutacu made a huge save. When Grigore Jienescu came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the ARD-CFR1907CLUJ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Grigore Jienescu couldn't finish the play. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cătălin Bucur was the one to do the kick off. Nae Ciompec made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cătălin Bucur in the 52nd minute. With a little luck, FCM Pascani's Nae Ciompec got control of the ball when Grigore Jienescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcu Gheondea might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valentin Ciutacu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcu Gheondea ran back to his position shaking his head. Mugur Bebeșel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FCM Pascani walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
