David Enaches short, quick shot in the 4thth minute got Ilie Iorgu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 7th minute, Emilian Fetea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CSM Galati fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Enache got free with Ilie Iorgu in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tudor Jerca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sever Jdeica, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to FC BOOM getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Basarab Cîrțu hit a great ball. When Emilian Fetea came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the CSM Galati fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emilian Fetea couldn't finish the play. In the 25thth minute of the game David Enache who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC BOOM's Ilie Iorgu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. David Enache was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 28th minute. CSM Galati's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Sever Jdeica struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Tudor Jerca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC BOOM. In the 32nd minute, FC BOOM's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after David Enache fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Rareș Manolescu kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Ilie Iorgu stood somewhat misplaced when David Enache came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 37 minute. Sever Jdeica sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Virgil Ilie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee felt a red card was in order, 45 minutes into the game, when Maciej Bielenda put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of CSM Galati:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC BOOM:s goal. The referee gave FC BOOM a penalty, 48 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dorel Bolcaș, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of CSM Galati's Tudor Jerca. 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rareș Manolescu was the one to do the kick off. David Enache received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Ilie Iorgu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tudor Jerca was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Cosmin Lăcătușu. If Virgil Ilie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rareș Manolescu kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After 70 minutes, David Enache made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. FC BOOM's Ilie Iorgu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, FC BOOM's Petru Aursulesei got a free kick in the 73rd minute. David Enache received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Ilie Iorgu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th match minute, CSM Galati was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panait Ştoia to maneuver through the defense. Tudor Jerca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sever Jdeica in the 82nd minute. Ilie Iorgu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David Enache's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. The supporters of CSM Galati booed when FC BOOM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marian Arapașu didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, CSM Galati's Tudor Jerca got control of the ball when Sever Jdeica tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ilie Iorgu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Enache in the 93rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Enache in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ilie Iorgu saved FC BOOM from getting behind. When the referee ended the match the CSM Galati players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
