Tiberiu Abagiu kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Nechifor Tincu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rares Chiru having to interfere. 41 minutes into the game, Iordache Pelin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cueni FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC SCORPIONUL BAIA MARE the free kick. A collision led to Cueni FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Iordache Pelin hit a great ball. Paul Movileanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Rusu in the 43rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC SCORPIONUL BAIA MARE's zone, Nechifor Tincu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rares Chiru came out of the goal and Nechifor Tincu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stefan Rusu was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Cueni FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iustinian Chelaru to maneuver through the defense. After 56 played minutes FC SCORPIONUL BAIA MARE got a freekick which was hit by Sorin Ene. FC SCORPIONUL BAIA MARE's Rares Chiru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iustinian Chelaru in the 63rd minute of play. After 65th play minutes Iustinian Chelaru shot 5-1, a short shot which went by Rares Chiru and just under the crossbar into goal. Rares Chiru didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Cueni FC's Iustinian Chelaru shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 6-1 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 84thth minute of the game Iustinian Chelaru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC SCORPIONUL BAIA MARE's Rares Chiru was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rares Chiru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iustinian Chelaru's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iustinian Chelaru in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rares Chiru saved FC SCORPIONUL BAIA MARE from getting behind. FC SCORPIONUL BAIA MARE's Serban Daria pulled a muscle in his back after 96 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cueni FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC SCORPIONUL BAIA MARE had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
