The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edward Kolano showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Dragoş Dragnea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sumita's Edward Kolano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gică Bărbânță in the 18th minute of play. Hubert Ahlgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liviu Burghelea, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The supporters of DropDead booed when Sumita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Golumbean didn't get a good kick on the ball.
