Corneliu Costandin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Logofeteanu in the 25th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in mediasfc's zone, Petru Lalescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Călin Ciucă came out of the goal and Petru Lalescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Călin Ciucă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rareș Panțuru in the 33rd minute of play.

Călin Ciucă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rareș Panțuru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 63rd minute by Rareș Panțuru got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some careless play in the ACS Unirea Curtesti defense, Albert Logofeteanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Corneliu Costandin. The ACS Unirea Curtesti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Corneliu Costandin should have stopped the shot. After having played for 76 minutes, Petru Lalescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
