Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Valeriu Nicodim kicked off to start the match. Manole Lamru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pompiliu Crăciun having to interfere. If Cazimir Nandriș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Balateni AFC's Valentin Nicodim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucian Răduț in the 7th minute of play. After 8 minutes, Marian Vidican mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Balateni AFC and the Spartanii Maxut players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 9th minute, Marian Vidican hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marian Vidican hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Lucian Răduț struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Valentin Nicodim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Spartanii Maxut. After having played for 16 minutes, Cazimir Nandriș managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Spartanii Maxut's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cazimir Nandriș was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Spartanii Maxut's Lucian Răduț got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marian Vidican was shown his second yellow card after 21 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Balateni AFC's Marian Vidican got a free kick in the 21st minute. Valentin Nicodim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cazimir Nandriș, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Cazimir Nandriș's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valentin Nicodim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Valentin Nicodim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cazimir Nandriș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 32 minutes, Manole Lamru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Balateni AFC and the Spartanii Maxut players grew even worse after the yellow card. Manole Lamru hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Spartanii Maxut's zone, Manole Lamru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pompiliu Crăciun came out of the goal and Manole Lamru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cazimir Nandriș to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cazimir Nandriș in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valentin Nicodim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Valentin Nicodim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cazimir Nandriș, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute, Gabriel Predescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Balateni AFC's zone, Cazimir Nandriș stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Nicodim came out of the goal and Cazimir Nandriș tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pompiliu Crăciun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manole Lamru in the 80th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manole Lamru in the 85th minute of play forced Spartanii Maxut's goalkeeper Pompiliu Crăciun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Manole Lamru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th match minute, Spartanii Maxut was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Károly Cseh to maneuver through the defense. After 92 played minutes Balateni AFC got a freekick which was hit by Valeriu Nicodim. Valentin Nicodim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cazimir Nandriș went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score.
