With a couple of smart ball manuevers Octav Tutuianu in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dinu Borcea saved Muscelusa CSM from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavius Apăvăloaie in the 8th minute of play forced Laz FC's goalkeeper Gigel Horhoianu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eusebiu Bognar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Flavius Apăvăloaie struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Gigel Horhoianu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Muscelusa CSM. Dinu Borcea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eusebiu Bognar went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Muscelusa CSM getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Filip Plop hit a great ball. In the 26th minute of the match Costică Cârjă shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gigel Horhoianu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Emil Diaconu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laz FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Muscelusa CSM the free kick. In the 34th minute, Emil Diaconu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute of the match Felix Cămărășescu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gigel Horhoianu skillfully saved the ball. Eusebiu Bognar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Dinu Borcea made a huge save. Eusebiu Bognars short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Dinu Borcea to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Eusebiu Bognar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laz FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusebiu Bognar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dinu Borcea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 40 minutes into the match, Muscelusa CSM's goal looked a bit too open when Octav Tutuianu came free, but Dinu Borcea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Iulian Muraru notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Laz FC's Gigel Horhoianu. Gigel Horhoianu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Octav Tutuianu made a kick off. Eusebiu Bognar struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Grigore Steriopol during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience was convinced that Octav Tutuianu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dinu Borcea was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Muscelusa CSM's zone, Octav Tutuianu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dinu Borcea came out of the goal and Octav Tutuianu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dinu Borcea came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Laz FC's Eusebiu Bognar. But to his dismay, Eusebiu Bognar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Laz FC's Gigel Horhoianu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iulian Muraru in the 79th minute of play. Dinu Borcea went to the wrong direction when Ivan Negoescu was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The supporters of Laz FC booed when Muscelusa CSM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costică Cârjă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dinu Borcea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eusebiu Bognar went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Laz FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Octav Tutuianu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 97 minutes into the match, Muscelusa CSM's Flavius Apăvăloaie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gigel Horhoianu narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
