Dorel Drumeș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aurel Vârnav received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Robert Marghescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beniamin Plucinik was out of position in the 41 minute of play, and Nicodim Crivac capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nicodim Crivac really showed his touch with that goal: 4-1. After a rather tough play, Sarmas CF's Stelian Novăceanu got a free kick in the 44th minute. Aurel Vârnav, 45 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Aurel Vârnav managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C. Rapid's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurel Vârnav was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robert Marghescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 55th minute, Nicodim Crivac ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Beniamin Plucinik was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. 58 minutes into the match, F.C. Rapid's goal looked a bit too open when Nicodim Crivac came free, but Beniamin Plucinik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beniamin Plucinik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolae Gioagă, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Dorel Drumeș might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Robert Marghescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dorel Drumeș ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Sarmas CF's Robert Marghescu got control of the ball when Dorel Drumeș tried to sneak it across the goal line. F.C. Rapid's Beniamin Plucinik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stelian Novăceanu in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicodim Crivac in the 66th minute of play forced F.C. Rapid's goalkeeper Beniamin Plucinik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Beniamin Plucinik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicodim Crivac in the 68th minute of the match. Dorel Drumeș's late challenge caught a Sarmas CF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dorel Drumeș helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd match minute, F.C. Rapid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorel Drumeș to maneuver through the defense. Dorel Drumeș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 83rd minute Nicodim Crivac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beniamin Plucinik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 88 minutes of play, Sarmas CF's Nicodim Crivac made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Beniamin Plucinik was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Aurel Vârnav had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the F.C. Rapid players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sarmas CF.
