Spectators: 6822 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 100) Sarmas CF's Călin Ivasiuc started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Dumbravioara UFC's Nistor Barboni got control of the ball when Călin Ivasiuc tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nistor Barboni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Călin Ivasiuc in the 10th minute. In the 11th match minute, Dumbravioara UFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aristide Hurezan to maneuver through the defense. Vintilă Corbea might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nistor Barboni. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vintilă Corbea ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Sarmas CF getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Adam Chitoran hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Olimpiu Aluchei's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robert Marghescu was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. After 18 played minutes Dumbravioara UFC got a freekick which was hit by Gelu Hurmuzache. Călin Ivasiuc could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Nistor Barboni made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Călin Ivasiuc's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nistor Barboni was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. In the 27th match minute, Sarmas CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stelian Novăceanu to maneuver through the defense. Olimpiu Aluchei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Marghescu having to interfere. Nistor Barboni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolae Gioagă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dumbravioara UFC's Nistor Barboni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Dumbravioara UFC from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice moves Călin Ivasiuc could shoot a difficult shot in the 46th minute, which Nistor Barboni however easily saved by the left post. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Olimpiu Aluchei to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Călin Ivasiuc sped through Dumbravioara UFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nistor Barboni. Olimpiu Aluchei came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Robert Marghescu could save by the left post. A nice corner shot did that Moise Hurezeanu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Robert Marghescu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Nistor Barboni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Călin Ivasiuc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olimpiu Aluchei could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Robert Marghescu made a huge save. Olimpiu Aluchei's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robert Marghescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Nicolae Gioagă left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sarmas CF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Sarmas CF's Călin Ivasiuc got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 67 minutes into the match, Dumbravioara UFC's goal looked a bit too open when Călin Ivasiuc came free, but Nistor Barboni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Călin Ivasiuc had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nistor Barboni. Dumbravioara UFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Călin Ivasiuc was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 75th minute, Nistor Dancu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Dumbravioara UFC made a substitution. Iurie Tomulescu replaced Gelu Hurmuzache. Nicodim Crivac kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. The supporters of Dumbravioara UFC booed when Sarmas CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ilie Pătru didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Olimpiu Aluchei put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Robert Marghescu. Nicodim Crivac received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Nistor Barboni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nistor Dancu in the 90th minute of play forced Sarmas CF's goalkeeper Robert Marghescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert Marghescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olimpiu Aluchei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sarmas CF had played much better football throughout.
