In the 3rd minute, Marcu Săliştean got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to F.C Adevarul Holding getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Eliodor Oproiu hit a great ball. Șerban Ciuvică made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicodim Staicu in the 7th minute. 9 minutes into the game, Jeselnica CSS's Dan Bute nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Șerban Ciuvică made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 14 minutes into the match, F.C Adevarul Holding's goalkeeper Șerban Ciuvică had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Gordunescu. After 16 minutes of play, Jeselnica CSS's Nicodim Staicu made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Șerban Ciuvică was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, F.C Adevarul Holding's Ovidiu Groșan got a free kick in the 19th minute. Armando Herauso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Șerban Ciuvică made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Gordunescu in the 26th minute of play. Șerban Ciuvică made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicodim Staicu in the 30th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicodim Staicu got free with Șerban Ciuvică in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 35th match minute, F.C Adevarul Holding was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Kling to maneuver through the defense. F.C Adevarul Holding's Șerban Ciuvică played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Gordunescu in the 36th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Nicodim Staicu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Șerban Ciuvică was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. The supporters of Jeselnica CSS booed when F.C Adevarul Holding was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Kling didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute, Jeselnica CSS's Martin Gordunescu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nicodim Staicu made a kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Jeselnica CSS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodor Balțoi to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the game, Jeselnica CSS's Nicodim Staicu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Șerban Ciuvică made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. F.C Adevarul Holding's Șerban Ciuvică played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dan Bute in the 65th minute of play. Armando Herauso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihai Cocârlă having to interfere. F.C Adevarul Holding made a substitution. Daniel Augustin replaced Maxim Cociubei. If Armando Herauso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Șerban Ciuvică made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Gordunescu in the 73rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in F.C Adevarul Holding's zone, Martin Gordunescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Șerban Ciuvică came out of the goal and Martin Gordunescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cosmin Nisipeanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Șerban Ciuvică tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the game, Jeselnica CSS's Nicodim Staicu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Șerban Ciuvică made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. 84 minutes into the match, F.C Adevarul Holding's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Bute came free, but Șerban Ciuvică reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrei Murgu charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andrei Murgu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 86th minute, Andrei Murgu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. F.C Adevarul Holding's Jaak Paukson was substituted for Armando Herauso. Ovidiu Groșan lost his temper 90 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Șerban Ciuvică made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cosmin Nisipeanu in the 99th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Jeselnica CSS fully deserved thier win.
