Seating: 1697, VIP seats: 0) Sandu Vulpescu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Viorel Iliuță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Valer Manea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. MARPOP's Vasile Pupăzan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornel Hăvârneanu in the 8th minute of play. Sandu Vulpescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valer Manea having to interfere. A collision led to MARPOP getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Damian Vârjean hit a great ball.
