Alin Pantelimon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but David Burdulea made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorin Balaban in the 21st minute of play forced CFR 1907 CLUJ's goalkeeper Alexandru Iuonaș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandru Iuonaș didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mihail Manciu went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. With a left leg Alexandru Iuonaș saved CFR 1907 CLUJ from getting behind. 45 minutes into the match, CFR 1907 CLUJ's goal looked a bit too open when Claudiu Stanomir came free, but Alexandru Iuonaș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to -MAD- AC Casanova getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Pavel Mitruț hit a great ball.

The attack was good, but when Mihail Manciu in the 53rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. With his leg Alexandru Iuonaș managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when -MAD- AC Casanova's Mihail Manciu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mihail Manciu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Alexandru Iuonaș made a huge save. Mihail Manciu scored 0-4 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alexandru Iuonaș, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The CFR 1907 CLUJ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
