After a defensive mix-up in Mamecha's zone, Matei Buzgar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugen Voinescu came out of the goal and Matei Buzgar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luca Pânzariu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugen Voinescu having to interfere. Matei Buzgar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adrian Constantin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horia Bunescu in the 31st minute of play. Horia Bunescu succeeded in the game's 35th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Martin Aelenei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Constantin having to interfere. After having played for 43 minutes, Nicodim Onuț managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tarulesti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicodim Onuț was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Tarulesti defense, Martin Aelenei kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adrian Constantin. The Tarulesti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adrian Constantin should have stopped the shot. After the first half Mamecha were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Horia Bunescu to make the kick off. Eugen Voinescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Pânzariu in the 52nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matei Buzgar in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eugen Voinescu saved Mamecha from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martin Aelenei got free with Adrian Constantin in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Martin Aelenei let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 59th minute shot 0-4 at rihgt post. After 63 played minutes Tarulesti got a freekick which was hit by Victor Rogozanu. When Tarulesti's Matei Buzgar in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mamecha's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Horia Bunescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mamecha's supporters rose to their feet, but Horia Bunescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrian Constantin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adrian Constantin made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Martin Aelenei sent off a good shot on target. Matei Buzgar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eugen Voinescu having to make a save. Luca Pânzariu might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eugen Voinescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luca Pânzariu ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aron Muraru during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aron Muraru hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute Matei Buzgar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugen Voinescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Horia Bunescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Aelenei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
