Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Alin Oneț started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Mihail Frențiu charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mihail Frențiu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Merii FCM's Mihail Frențiu got a free kick in the 5th minute. Mugur Crețu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Buș in the 7th minute of play. Gheorghe Piersic scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mugur Crețu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pompiliu Brășneanu hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Mugur Crețu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Buș in the 15th minute of play. In the 21st match minute, Merii FCM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Călin Crețulescu to maneuver through the defense. Horea Buzgar made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Mihail Frențiu sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Pompiliu Brășneanu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Horea Buzgar. That made the score 1-1 in the 25 minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Bungetu's goalkeeper Horea Buzgar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pompiliu Brășneanu. In the 31st minute, Fabian Buș ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mugur Crețu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Fabian Buș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alin Oneț took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mugur Crețu. Mugur Crețu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. 41 minutes into the match, Merii FCM's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Buș came free, but Mugur Crețu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Horea Buzgar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilian Bulcă in the 46th minute of play. After the first half Bungetu were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mihail Frențiu made a kick off. Fabian Buș scored 1-4 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mugur Crețu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mugur Crețu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mugur Varga, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Alin Oneț dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mugur Crețu, 1-5. 63 minutes into the match, Merii FCM's goal looked a bit too open when Alin Oneț came free, but Mugur Crețu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mihail Frențiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horea Buzgar having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Mugur Varga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Mihail Frențiu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Horea Buzgar was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alin Oneț in the 70th minute of play forced Merii FCM's goalkeeper Mugur Crețu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the game, Fabian Buș recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mugur Crețu. Fabian Buș showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-7. 77 minutes into the match, Merii FCM's goal looked a bit too open when Mugur Varga came free, but Mugur Crețu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Merii FCM's Mugur Crețu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alin Oneț in the 79th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Bungetu's Mugur Crețu threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mugur Varga, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Horea Buzgar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mircea Perișoară, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mugur Crețu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Buș, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. When Mircea Perișoară came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Merii FCM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mircea Perișoară couldn't finish the play. Horea Buzgar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihail Frențiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihail Frențiu in the 90th minute of play forced Bungetu's goalkeeper Horea Buzgar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute of the match, Mugur Varga tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mugur Crețu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Bungetu's Aurelian Butuc got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bungetu played a much better game than Merii FCM and deserved their victory. The Merii FCM players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
