Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) When Mathieu Bürgler came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the F.C. Academy Steaua fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mathieu Bürgler couldn't finish the play. Ioan Bungeanu's late challenge caught a F.C. Academy Steaua's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ioan Bungeanu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to F.C. Viitorul Bordeni getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Ioan Bungeanu hit a great ball. Mathieu Bürgler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filip Isăcescu having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cazimir Encica in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filip Isăcescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 10th minute, Mathieu Bürgler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 14th match minute, F.C. Academy Steaua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viorel Negrescu to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the match, F.C. Academy Steaua's goalkeeper Cristian Costescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iulian Ghițescu. In the 18th minute, Ioan Bungeanu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cristian Costescu. The goal made the score 1-1. In the 22ndth minute of the game Ioan Bungeanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C. Academy Steaua's Cristian Costescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The corner led F.C. Viitorul Bordeni's Horia Chițac to fire away a dangerous shot which Cristian Costescu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to F.C. Academy Steaua getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Viorel Negrescu hit a great ball. Ioan Bungeanu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 26th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Mathieu Bürgler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filip Isăcescu having to interfere. After a rather tough play, F.C. Viitorul Bordeni's Damian Grozuță got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute, Mathieu Bürgler made a precise shot to the right of Filip Isăcescu. F.C. Viitorul Bordeni's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 38th match minute, F.C. Academy Steaua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Movileanu to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ioan Bungeanu in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristian Costescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristian Costescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ioan Bungeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mathieu Bürgler made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ioan Bungeanu in the 56th minute of play forced F.C. Academy Steaua's goalkeeper Cristian Costescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vlad Petru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Costescu having to interfere. Mathieu Bürgler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Filip Isăcescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Costescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ioan Bungeanu in the 63rd minute of play. F.C. Academy Steaua's Cristian Costescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iulian Ghițescu in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of F.C. Academy Steaua booed when F.C. Viitorul Bordeni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gigi Apopei didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ioan Bungeanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Cristian Costescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Cazimir Encica ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Filip Isăcescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 76thth minute of the game Mathieu Bürgler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C. Viitorul Bordeni's Filip Isăcescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 80th minute Mathieu Bürgler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filip Isăcescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filip Isăcescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathieu Bürgler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 89 minutes, Ioan Bungeanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. Viitorul Bordeni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ioan Bungeanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cazimir Encica struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Filip Isăcescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C. Academy Steaua. F.C. Academy Steaua's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
