Alex Schipor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dinu Cristian in the 19th minute. 22 minutes into the game, Dinu Cristian was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sindresti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Otelul Galati the free kick. One of FC Otelul Galati:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sindresti:s goal. Sindresti's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
