The audience thought a goal was coming when Gavril Nastac got free with Laurențiu Bot in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sabin Lopatnicu kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. FCSB's Gheorghe Receanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilian Dejeu in the 17th minute of play. Emilian Dejeu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gavril Nastac's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Laurențiu Bot skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Lucrețiu Mangra took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Laurențiu Bot to make any attempt to save it. 37 minutes into the match, FC Dacia Unirea Braila 's goalkeeper Laurențiu Bot had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gavril Nastac. Lucrețiu Mangra received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Laurențiu Bot came out and tried to block the shot, but Lucrețiu Mangra slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 40th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucrețiu Mangra made a kick off. If Gavril Nastac had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. Cornel Zdrăilă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gheorghe Receanu having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Emilian Dejeu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, FC Dacia Unirea Braila 's Marius Duțulescu got a free kick in the 66th minute. Laurențiu Bot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavril Nastac in the 71st minute of play.
