Spectators: 7405 (Terracing: 5554, Seating: 1703, VIP seats: 148) Miroslovesti's Valeriu Moșneanu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cazimir Bacanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Sergiu Groșan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fortunato Del Gatto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergiu Groșan having to interfere. In the 6th match minute, FC RAPID TAROVISTE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihail Hurezan to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute Petrică Bogdănescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petre Chindriș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fortunato Del Gatto in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sergiu Groșan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After having played for 9 minutes, Petru Odobescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC RAPID TAROVISTE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petru Odobescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Marian Stătescu fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC RAPID TAROVISTE's protests and gave Marian Stătescu a yellow card for diving instead. Marian Stătescu hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 20th match minute, FC RAPID TAROVISTE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petru Odobescu to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, FC RAPID TAROVISTE's Mihail Hurezan seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Mihail Hurezan the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC RAPID TAROVISTE protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Mihail Hurezan had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC RAPID TAROVISTE! The referee gave Miroslovesti a penalty, 30 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mugur Rioşanu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC RAPID TAROVISTE's Petre Chindriș. 1-1. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Fortunato Del Gatto sped through Miroslovesti's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sergiu Groșan. Nicolae Curtean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Miroslovesti! In the 41st minute there was a penalty for FC RAPID TAROVISTE. Adam Mihădaș stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sergiu Groșan. 3-1. 46 minutes into the match, FC RAPID TAROVISTE's Fortunato Del Gatto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sergiu Groșan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Fortunato Del Gatto made the kick off in the second half. Petru Odobescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Sergiu Groșan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Fortunato Del Gatto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sergiu Groșan was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. After 59 played minutes Miroslovesti got a freekick which was hit by Flavius Zgîrţa. Fortunato Del Gatto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petru Odobescu struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Sergiu Groșan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC RAPID TAROVISTE. A nice corner shot did that Adam Mihădaș got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sergiu Groșan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Miroslovesti's Petrică Bogdănescu got a free kick in the 68th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC RAPID TAROVISTE fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 70th minute. Penalty! Mugur Rioşanu walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The supporters of Miroslovesti booed when FC RAPID TAROVISTE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petru Odobescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute of the match Daniel Magheru sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Petre Chindriș skillfully saved the ball. Fortunato Del Gatto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the game, FC RAPID TAROVISTE's Marian Stătescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sergiu Groșan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Sergiu Groșan came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by FC RAPID TAROVISTE's Fortunato Del Gatto. But to his dismay, Fortunato Del Gatto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Fortunato Del Gatto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 95 minutes, Fortunato Del Gatto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC RAPID TAROVISTE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fortunato Del Gatto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Fortunato Del Gatto came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the FC RAPID TAROVISTE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fortunato Del Gatto couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC RAPID TAROVISTE had played much better football throughout.
