Spectators: 6710 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1710, VIP seats: 0) Dragoş Tulbure started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After some careless play in the Budele FCM defense, Aristide Logofătu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sever Arapașu. The Budele FCM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sever Arapașu should have stopped the shot. Valeriu Răuţă hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Aristide Logofătu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sever Arapașu was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Aristide Logofătu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sever Arapașu having to make a save. Grigore Gavrilă didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robert Manta went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The nice shot from Robert Manta in the 37thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Grigore Gavrilă had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Grigore Gavrilă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silviu Achim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silviu Achim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Grigore Gavrilă read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Budele FCM's Eduard Breazu got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute of the match Ionel Cioiu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sever Arapașu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Grigore Gavrilă made a fantastic save in the 49th minute, when Robert Manta sent off a good shot on target. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silviu Achim was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Manta in the 53rd minute of play forced F.C. DTK's goalkeeper Grigore Gavrilă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute, Matei Vorniceanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robert Manta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Budele FCM's Silviu Achim in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye F.C. DTK's goalie prevented a goal. Ionel Cioiu kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. DTK's zone, Silviu Achim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Grigore Gavrilă came out of the goal and Silviu Achim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 68thth minute of the game Silviu Achim who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C. DTK's Grigore Gavrilă was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Grigore Gavrilă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Manta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 72 minutes, Eduard Breazu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Budele FCM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduard Breazu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Grigore Gavrilă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Manta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. F.C. DTK's Grigore Gavrilă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silviu Achim in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, F.C. DTK's goal looked a bit too open when Silviu Achim came free, but Grigore Gavrilă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. DTK's zone, Silviu Achim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Grigore Gavrilă came out of the goal and Silviu Achim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silviu Achim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Grigore Gavrilă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Silviu Achim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robert Manta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. After 96 minutes, Niculae Cojan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Budele FCM and the F.C. DTK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
