Spectators: 6690 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Manuel Bordeianu got the match started through his kick off. When Alex Melinte came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Puini fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Melinte couldn't finish the play. Mugur Joanță showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Bordeianu, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Paul Balint's late challenge caught a Sibisel FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paul Balint helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Puini getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Paul Balint hit a great ball. Sibisel FC's Marius Tudor got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Silviu Stoicea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gelu Opriș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silviu Stoicea in the 14th minute of play. Silviu Stoicea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gelu Opriș having to make a save. In the 18th minute Silviu Stoicea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gelu Opriș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sibisel FC's Vintilă Velicu got a free kick in the 19th minute. If Mugurel Fărcașu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alex Melinte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Mugur Joanță tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alex Melinte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mugur Joanță took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Bordeianu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Bordeianu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mugur Joanță having to interfere. Manuel Bordeianu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mugur Joanță came out and tried to block the shot, but Manuel Bordeianu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 31st minute. 35 minutes into the match, Sibisel FC's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Bordeianu came free, but Mugur Joanță reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Bordeianu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mugur Joanță read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. After 37 played minutes Sibisel FC got a freekick which was hit by Vintilă Velicu. 38 minutes into the match, Sibisel FC's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Bordeianu came free, but Mugur Joanță reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Bordeianu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Mugur Joanță tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Gelu Opriș made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marius Tudor in the 53rd minute. In the 63rd minute, Filip Jucu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Puini booed when Sibisel FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silviu Stoicea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silviu Stoicea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Gelu Opriș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marius Tudor got free with Gelu Opriș in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Puini's Gelu Opriș got control of the ball when Marius Tudor tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Marius Tudor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silviu Stoicea was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 94th minute. Sibisel FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The Puini support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
