In the 5th minute Nicodim Geoană shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Lunca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Natalio Blai in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manuel Lunca saved STEAUA from getting behind. A collision led to STEAUA getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Lucian Ologu hit a great ball. If Jacobo Cresconio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Natalio Blai took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manuel Lunca. Manuel Lunca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. A collision led to Ruben FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Isac Cantemir hit a great ball. Manuel Lunca was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vlad Hrean showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 37 minute of play.

The wind increased when Nechifor Barboni made the kick off in the second half. Natalio Blai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Lunca having to interfere. Manuel Lunca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vlad Hrean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 61 minutes, Vlad Hrean managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ruben FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vlad Hrean was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Nechifor Barboni notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Ruben FC's Vasile Bistreanu. Vasile Bistreanu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vasile Bistreanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucian Ologu in the 67th minute. 69 minutes into the game, Lucian Ologu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Vasile Bistreanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ruben FC's Natalio Blai got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 4-3 when Vlad Hrean sped through STEAUA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Manuel Lunca. Ruben FC's Isac Cantemir suffered a sore knee after 92 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Horea Trifu during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 93 played minutes STEAUA got a freekick which was hit by Horea Trifu. Lucian Ologu hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match.
