STEAUA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucian Ologu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Francisc Dersidan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the FC Iclanzelul defense, Lucian Ologu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aurelian Balcan. The FC Iclanzelul fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aurelian Balcan should have stopped the shot. Lucian Ologu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Aurelian Balcan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to FC Iclanzelul getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Mugur Vlăsiu hit a great ball. In the 20th match minute, FC Iclanzelul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alin Cocârlă to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 25 in the game by Lucian Ologu from a close distance when the talented Aurelian Balcan managed to make a qualified save. FC Iclanzelul's players were relieved. In the 54thth minute of the game Nechifor Barboni who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Iclanzelul's Aurelian Balcan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucian Ologu in the 57th minute of play forced FC Iclanzelul's goalkeeper Aurelian Balcan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Iclanzelul's Aurelian Balcan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nechifor Barboni in the 58th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Francisc Dersidan notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of STEAUA's Manuel Lunca. Manuel Lunca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edgar Mârzac received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Francisc Dersidan's late challenge caught a STEAUA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francisc Dersidan helped the player get up and apologised. When Adam Şimandan fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored STEAUA's protests and gave Adam Şimandan a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, STEAUA's Adam Şimandan got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 83rd minute Nechifor Barboni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelian Balcan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aurelian Balcan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nechifor Barboni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The STEAUA fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when STEAUA's Nechifor Barboni looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 95 minutes into the game, Nechifor Barboni cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Aurelian Balcan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. STEAUA had played much better football throughout.
