Holobani AS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Opaina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Romeo Orășan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Șerban Ilarie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Robert Opaina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12thth minute of the game Șerban Ilarie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oarja CS's Romeo Orășan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alex Axinte in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Florin Bociort prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alex Axinte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Holobani AS getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Sever Bănățeanu hit a great ball. Oarja CS's Romeo Orășan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Șerban Ilarie in the 36th minute of play. Alex Axinte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florin Bociort having to interfere. Isac Griguță's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Florin Bociort read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Alex Axinte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Florin Bociort tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alex Axinte was the one to do the kick off. Traian Huțupan kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. A long shot from Sever Bănățeanu in the 60th minute of play was well struck, but Romeo Orășan made a really good save at the right post. In the 63rd minute, Holobani AS's Șerban Ilarie dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. 76 minutes into the match, Oarja CS's Alex Axinte sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Florin Bociort narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Oarja CS's Alex Axinte got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Holobani AS booed when Oarja CS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isac Griguță didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florin Bociort showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doru Dragu, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Oarja CS's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
