CSA Steaua Bucuresti's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Enceanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Ghionaru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aurel Popeneciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aurel Luican's late challenge caught a CSA Steaua Bucuresti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aurel Luican kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the game, Nicu Buzatu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Empire Club Recea's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CSA Steaua Bucuresti the free kick. In the 17th match minute, Empire Club Recea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicu Buzatu to maneuver through the defense. Emanuel Enceanu struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. David Ghionaru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CSA Steaua Bucuresti. One of CSA Steaua Bucuresti:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Empire Club Recea:s goal. David Ghionaru didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emanuel Enceanu went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Costea in the 76th minute of play forced CSA Steaua Bucuresti's goalkeeper Pompiliu Nicolae to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Teodor Badea came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Empire Club Recea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodor Badea couldn't finish the play. When Marcel Arseni fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CSA Steaua Bucuresti's protests and gave Marcel Arseni a yellow card for diving instead. If Teodor Badea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcel Arseni kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Emanuel Enceanu took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Ghionaru. David Ghionaru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Enceanu got free with David Ghionaru in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Empire Club Recea's Ioan Bărcăuan got a free kick in the 92nd minute. During the 95th minute of the match Nicu Buzatu completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Nicu Buzatu a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Empire Club Recea's Nicu Buzatu got a free kick in the 96th minute. Adrian Alexandru, 97 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When the final whistle sounded CSA Steaua Bucuresti left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Empire Club Recea.
