Seating: 1705, VIP seats: 0) Contesti's Costică Nicorici started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iulian Agudin in the 6th minute of play forced Contesti's goalkeeper Dan Ciprian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Contesti's Costică Nicorici got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 18 minutes into the game, Costin Blejan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Contesti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Andriesesti the free kick. The supporters of Andriesesti booed when Contesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costin Blejan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Andriesesti's Horaţiu Mandoiu tried to score from far away in the 19th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 20th minute, Horea Belu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Petre Goicea who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Dan Ciprian when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Andriesesti's Basarab Chiper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marius Ghinescu in the 25th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Horea Belu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Contesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Horea Belu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Basarab Chiper breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Andriesesti's goalkeeper Basarab Chiper, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Basarab Chiper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Costică Nicorici, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. If Iulian Agudin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basarab Chiper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costin Blejan in the 47th minute of the match.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iulian Agudin made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Petre Goicea notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Contesti's Dan Ciprian. Dan Ciprian was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Andriesesti's Petre Goicea in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Contesti's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Contesti's zone, Petre Goicea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Ciprian came out of the goal and Petre Goicea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexandru Pintilescu's late challenge caught a Andriesesti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexandru Pintilescu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 75th match minute, Contesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horea Belu to maneuver through the defense. If Petre Goicea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iulian Agudin in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dan Ciprian saved Contesti from getting behind. The supporters of Andriesesti booed when Contesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costin Blejan didn't get a good kick on the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 85 minutes, Cazimir Abutnăriței managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Andriesesti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cazimir Abutnăriței was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Basarab Chiper was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Marius Ghinescu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marius Ghinescu really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. Contesti's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
