Ilisesti SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Petruț Vişan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Ilisesti SC's Marcu Brădean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petruț Vişan in the 20th minute of play. Ferdinand Ciucă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcu Brădean having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ilisesti SC's Cezar Angheluță got a free kick in the 28th minute. Marcu Brădean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinand Ciucă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Jegheriste booed when Ilisesti SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorel Poplăcan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute of the match Andrei Şuplăcan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcu Brădean skillfully saved the ball. Marcu Brădean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petruț Vişan, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Gigel Mahonea kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ioan Avram. That made the score 1-1 in the 47 minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ferdinand Ciucă was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gigel Mahonea in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ioan Avram prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ilisesti SC's goalkeeper Marcu Brădean, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 81 played minutes Ilisesti SC got a freekick which was hit by Dorel Poplăcan. 85 minutes into the match, Ferdinand Ciucă dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcu Brădean, 1-2. An unexpected shot in the 89th minute by Petruț Vişan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 1-3 became the score in the 91st minute when Ferdinand Ciucă elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Silviu Gogu's late challenge caught a Jegheriste's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silviu Gogu helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ilisesti SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 94th minute. Penalty! Marcu Brădean went to the wrong direction when Andrei Şuplăcan was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal.
