Spectators: 7390 (Terracing: 5544, Seating: 1699, VIP seats: 147) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Liviu Costandin got the match started through his kick off. With his leg Victor Cioroianu managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when Milan Cluj's Nistor Răica fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Emil Ciociu charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emil Ciociu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th minute, one of Fc BrAsOv:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fc BrAsOv. The goalkeeper, Victor Cioroianu, was totally fooled by Milan Cluj's Ştefan Boerescu, who 16 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Petrică Becheanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Dorel Tunar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Milan Cluj's Liviu Costandin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. In the 37th minute, Răzvan Pascariu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fc BrAsOv's Victor Cioroianu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liviu Costandin in the 43rd minute of play. Petrică Becheanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ovidiu Arieșan charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ovidiu Arieșan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Fc BrAsOv booed when Milan Cluj was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidiu Arieșan didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Petrică Becheanu made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Gică Cândea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nistor Răica took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victor Cioroianu. Victor Cioroianu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After 57 minutes, Cosmin Enachescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Milan Cluj and the Fc BrAsOv players grew even worse after the yellow card. Petrică Becheanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorel Tunar having to interfere. Niculae Melinte's late challenge caught a Fc BrAsOv's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Niculae Melinte helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Fc BrAsOv booed when Milan Cluj was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gică Cândea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victor Cioroianu came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Milan Cluj's Nistor Răica. But to his dismay, Nistor Răica quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 72 minutes into the match, Fc BrAsOv's goal looked a bit too open when Nistor Răica came free, but Victor Cioroianu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Liviu Costandin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 79 minutes into the game, Răzvan Pascariu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fc BrAsOv's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Milan Cluj the free kick. Răzvan Pascariu kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After having played for 83 minutes, Nistor Răica managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Milan Cluj's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nistor Răica was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liviu Costandin in the 86th minute of play forced Fc BrAsOv's goalkeeper Victor Cioroianu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th match minute, Fc BrAsOv was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narcis Todoran to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liviu Costandin in the 91st minute of play forced Fc BrAsOv's goalkeeper Victor Cioroianu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Petrică Becheanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dorel Tunar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Petrică Becheanu ran back to his position shaking his head. Milan Cluj walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
