Spectators: 5948 (Terracing: 4500, Seating: 1300, VIP seats: 148) Laurențiu Lovin started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Thanks to some nice moves Bogdan Munteanu could shoot a difficult shot in the 3rd minute, which Emanuel Ignătoiu however easily saved by the left post. In the 8th minute, Bogdan Munteanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emanuel Ignătoiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laurențiu Lovin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Iulian Pitiș came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Bohoghina CSM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iulian Pitiș couldn't finish the play. 25 minutes into the game, FC BOTOSANI's Bogdan Munteanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emanuel Ignătoiu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Laurențiu Lovin managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC BOTOSANI's supporters rose to their feet, but Laurențiu Lovin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Ignătoiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Laurențiu Lovin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Ignătoiu having to interfere. Bogdan Munteanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Emanuel Ignătoiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Laurențiu Lovin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emanuel Ignătoiu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Emanuel Ignătoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurențiu Lovin in the 41st minute of the match. Remus Chiriță's late challenge caught a FC BOTOSANI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Remus Chiriță helped the player get up and apologised. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Petrică Şandru made the kick off in the second half. Laurențiu Lovin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bogdan Munteanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Emanuel Ignătoiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Corneliu Bacalu charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Corneliu Bacalu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 58th minute, Corneliu Bacalu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute of the match Iulian Cumpan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emanuel Ignătoiu skillfully saved the ball. In the 60th minute Bogdan Munteanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Ignătoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to FC BOTOSANI getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Nicu Pintilescu hit a great ball. Emanuel Ignătoiu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Laurențiu Lovin's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. The supporters of Bohoghina CSM booed when FC BOTOSANI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valeriu Gabrea didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Laurențiu Lovin in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emanuel Ignătoiu saved Bohoghina CSM from getting behind. In the 83rd minute Laurențiu Lovin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Ignătoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Laurențiu Lovin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC BOTOSANI fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Bogdan Munteanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the FC BOTOSANI players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
