Seating: 1713, VIP seats: 0) Ghicani's Aurelian Jurăscu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Bazgarei's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelian Jurăscu came free, but Ionel Praporgescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 8 minutes, Damian Constantinescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bazgarei's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damian Constantinescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Costică Vergulescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Emilian Şuplăcan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Costică Vergulescu kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. A collision led to Bazgarei getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Cazimir Voineag hit a great ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bazgarei fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 24th minute. Penalty! Cristinel Burtescu hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Bazgarei's Ionel Praporgescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelian Jurăscu in the 39th minute of play. The Bazgarei players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ghicani were winning 0-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Costică Vergulescu was the one to do the kick off. Radu Condrea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 56 minutes into the match, Radu Condrea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ionel Praporgescu. Bazgarei's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Radu Condrea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The supporters of Bazgarei booed when Ghicani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leontin Capătă didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute of the match Valer Becheanu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ionel Praporgescu skillfully saved the ball. When Radu Condrea came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Ghicani fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Radu Condrea couldn't finish the play. Emilian Şuplăcan came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Bazgarei's Costică Vergulescu. But to his dismay, Costică Vergulescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Ionel Praporgescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelian Jurăscu in the 81st minute of the match. Ionel Praporgescu made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Radu Condrea sent off a good shot on target. Aurelian Jurăscu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ionel Praporgescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aurelian Jurăscu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
