When Mihail Giurgiu fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dragoiasa CSM's protests and gave Mihail Giurgiu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Vladoi CF booed when Dragoiasa CSM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihail Giurgiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ivan Eftimescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 24th minute Sebastian Nisporeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristi Hâldan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Dragoiasa CSM fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Dragoiasa CSM's Andreas Øvrum looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Sebastian Nisporeanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Horaţiu Nicolcioiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristi Hâldan having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dorel Martinaș got free with Cristi Hâldan in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dragoiasa CSM's attentive Mihail Giurgiu managed to snatch the ball when Costel Achifoaiei made a throw-in in the 74th minute of the game. The supporters of Vladoi CF booed when Dragoiasa CSM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihail Giurgiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristi Tilea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laurențiu Caramitru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorel Martinaș in the 85th minute of play forced Vladoi CF's goalkeeper Cristi Hâldan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vladoi CF's goalkeeper Cristi Hâldan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Vladoi CF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Dragoiasa CSM were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
