Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Paul Vasilică got the match started through his kick off. Gelu Robu came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Sinmarghita's Marin Ghercioiu. But to his dismay, Marin Ghercioiu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 7th minute Marin Ghercioiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gelu Robu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marin Ghercioiu in the 9th minute of play forced Fc Zalău's goalkeeper Gelu Robu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute Paul Vasilică shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gelu Robu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute, Isac Macamete hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the match, Marin Ghercioiu notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Fc Zalău's Gelu Robu. Gelu Robu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marin Ghercioiu in the 21st minute of play forced Fc Zalău's goalkeeper Gelu Robu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gelu Robu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marin Ghercioiu in the 22nd minute of play. After 25 minutes, Costel Maghiar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sinmarghita and the Fc Zalău players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sinmarghita getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Costel Maghiar hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the match, Sinmarghita's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Cocea came free, but Ionel Jivulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, Nechifor Țepeluș recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ionel Jivulescu. Nechifor Țepeluș showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Isac Macamete hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After 33 played minutes, Sinmarghita's Costel Maghiar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gelu Robu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sinmarghita reached it. Manuel Cocea's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Ionel Jivulescu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Fc Zalău getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Dan Remus hit a great ball. Marin Ghercioiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Fc Zalău's Moise Pantiș got a free kick in the 41st minute. Fc Zalău's Cosmin Moga got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Fc Zalău players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sinmarghita were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manuel Cocea made a kick off. Nechifor Țepeluș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionel Jivulescu having to interfere. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ionel Jivulescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 65 minutes, Matei Barbonța managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc Zalău's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matei Barbonța was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nechifor Țepeluș in the 67th minute of play forced Sinmarghita's goalkeeper Ionel Jivulescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Sinmarghita's goal looked a bit too open when Nechifor Țepeluș came free, but Ionel Jivulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Codruț Buhuș managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fc Zalău's supporters rose to their feet, but Codruț Buhuș was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ionel Jivulescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cosmin Moga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionel Jivulescu having to interfere. Nechifor Țepeluș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionel Jivulescu having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Sinmarghita's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Cocea came free, but Ionel Jivulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the game, Manuel Cocea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Ionel Jivulescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Nechifor Țepeluș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Sinmarghita's zone, Cosmin Moga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ionel Jivulescu came out of the goal and Cosmin Moga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 88 minutes into the game, Fc Zalău's Manuel Cocea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ionel Jivulescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. The audience was convinced that Manuel Cocea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ionel Jivulescu was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Cosmin Moga hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Fc Zalău's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
