In the 5th minute Alin Mihu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolae Zgabei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luca Crivoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th match minute, Vizirul CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristinel Trăilă to maneuver through the defense. Cezar Sângeorzan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Marcu Urdoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doru Stoicu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Marcu Urdoi made a huge save. When Alin Mihu came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the FC SOMOSD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alin Mihu couldn't finish the play. Alin Mihu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cezar Sângeorzan was the one to do the kick off. Alin Mihu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Nicolae Zgabei when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Vizirul CF's zone, Panait Muntean stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolae Zgabei came out of the goal and Panait Muntean tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Nicodim Petculescu fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vizirul CF's protests and gave Nicodim Petculescu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th minute, Nicodim Petculescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicolae Zgabei made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Alin Mihu sent off a good shot on target. Edgar Zotincă kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. A collision led to FC SOMOSD getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Avram Isopescu hit a great ball. Vizirul CF's Nicolae Zgabei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alin Mihu in the 68th minute of play. Marcu Urdoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cezar Sângeorzan, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Vizirul CF's zone, Edgar Zotincă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolae Zgabei came out of the goal and Edgar Zotincă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 87 minutes into the match, Cezar Sângeorzan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcu Urdoi. FC SOMOSD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cezar Sângeorzan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. FC SOMOSD's Alin Mihu got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as FC SOMOSD's Felix Bâru slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nicolae Zgabei. That made the score 1-4 after 92 minutes of play. FC SOMOSD's Felix Bâru got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC SOMOSD's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
