The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cristi Jucu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Călin Calota in the 3rd minute of the match. Corbita CF's Leontin Trăiloiu got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Călin Calota in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristi Jucu saved Ciaracio SC from getting behind. 7 minutes in the game, Ioan Cristescu dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Nae Florei hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Olimpiu Jianu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Cărtărescu in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of Ciaracio SC booed when Corbita CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Stratulat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Călin Calota blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristi Jucu having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Ciaracio SC's zone, Călin Calota stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristi Jucu came out of the goal and Călin Calota tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Corbita CF booed when Ciaracio SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silviu Beligan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ciaracio SC's goalkeeper Cristi Jucu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Ioan Cristescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Nae Florei fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Corbita CF's protests and gave Nae Florei a yellow card for diving instead. Nae Florei kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Rareș Fânaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Cristi Jucu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Ioan Cristescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ciaracio SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Cristi Jucu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Călin Calota's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Ionică Aldulea hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. George Cărtărescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Olimpiu Jianu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Ciaracio SC's goal looked a bit too open when Leontin Trăiloiu came free, but Cristi Jucu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. George Cărtărescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olimpiu Jianu having to interfere. Ioan Cristescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ioan Cristescu in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Olimpiu Jianu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
