Spectators: 7382 (Terracing: 5538, Seating: 1697, VIP seats: 147) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Horea Ruşdea took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 4 minutes, Horea Ruşdea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Varmezo CSM and the Plopi AC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucian Levința got free with Florin Visarion in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 11 minutes into the match, Horea Ruşdea notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Plopi AC's Leonard Turcan. Leonard Turcan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Filip Arnăuțoiu scored 0-2 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leonard Turcan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 20th minute, Aurelian Giurcă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by George Codrescu in the 24th minute really tested Florin Visarion's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Horea Ruşdea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonard Turcan having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Plopi AC's Eric Istrătescu got a free kick in the 27th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Varmezo CSM's Nicolae Donose broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Leonard Turcan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horea Ruşdea, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 38th minute, Filip Arnăuțoiu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Plopi AC's Leonard Turcan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horea Ruşdea in the 39th minute of play. Irinel Burnei's late challenge caught a Plopi AC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Irinel Burnei helped the player get up and apologised. Irinel Burnei kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Eric Istrătescu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Florin Visarion. Varmezo CSM's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Horea Ruşdea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filip Arnăuțoiu in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonard Turcan saved Plopi AC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihail Buricea in the 59th minute of play forced Varmezo CSM's goalkeeper Florin Visarion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mihail Buricea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florin Visarion having to interfere. If Filip Arnăuțoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Varmezo CSM's Florin Visarion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihail Buricea in the 66th minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, Horea Ruşdea recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Leonard Turcan. Horea Ruşdea showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Filip Arnăuțoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonard Turcan having to interfere. Florin Visarion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihail Buricea in the 76th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Plopi AC's goal looked a bit too open when Horea Ruşdea came free, but Leonard Turcan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Irinel Burnei got his second yellow card in the match during the 80th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 82nd minute, Adrian Coroian sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Varmezo CSM's Florin Visarion didn't even have to move. Eric Istrătescu charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eric Istrătescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 84th minute, Eric Istrătescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Filip Arnăuțoiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th minute, Horaţiu Enătescu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Horaţiu Enătescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonard Turcan having to make a save. Varmezo CSM's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
