Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gonzalo Ruy started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th minute Valer Borza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florin Covrig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paul Cângea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Florin Covrig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ion Paraschivescu made in the 11th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Șerban Dan immediately put the ball in play. After 19 minutes, Paul Cângea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Libelula and the FCSB players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 19 played minutes FC Libelula got a freekick which was hit by Paul Cângea. Eugen Urdeş received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gelu Hurdubețiu came out and tried to block the shot, but Eugen Urdeş slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 28th minute. With a little luck, FC Libelula's Gelu Hurdubețiu got control of the ball when Felix Zăgănescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Șerban Dan notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of FC Libelula's Gelu Hurdubețiu. Gelu Hurdubețiu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, FC Libelula's Gelu Hurdubețiu got control of the ball when Eugen Urdeş tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 52nd minute Eric Braniște shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gelu Hurdubețiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Libelula's Valer Borza managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ion Paraschivescu in the 54 minute of the game. If Valer Borza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viorel Morovan in the 56th minute of play forced FCSB's goalkeeper Florin Covrig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the match, FC Libelula's goal looked a bit too open when Eugen Urdeş came free, but Gelu Hurdubețiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anton Măgureanu charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anton Măgureanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Felix Zăgănescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gelu Hurdubețiu having to interfere. FC Libelula's Gelu Hurdubețiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Zăgănescu in the 73rd minute of play. After 76 played minutes FC Libelula got a freekick which was hit by Ştefan Topală. In the 79th minute Eugen Urdeş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gelu Hurdubețiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Eric Braniște left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FCSB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. FCSB's Silviu Chifu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gelu Hurdubețiu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to FC Libelula getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Viorel Morovan hit a great ball. Gelu Hurdubețiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Zăgănescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
