Șerban Zota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudiu Oroveanu having to interfere. Cristiano Valeriani made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Mihai Şuţu sent off a good shot on target. Cristiano Valeriani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vali Maftei, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Vali Maftei took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Cristiano Valeriani to make any attempt to save it. Sigvard Falkrantz kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Vali Maftei received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cordau CSM's Cristiano Valeriani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Cordau CSM from getting a goal against them. If Sigvard Falkrantz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aurel Milea to make the kick off. Cordau CSM's Cristiano Valeriani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurel Milea in the 58th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Izimsea's goalkeeper Claudiu Oroveanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Șerban Zota. A collision led to Izimsea getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Mihai Şuţu hit a great ball. Șerban Zota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basarab Crivac recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Șerban Zota took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Claudiu Oroveanu to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Izimsea's zone, Basarab Crivac stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudiu Oroveanu came out of the goal and Basarab Crivac tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristiano Valeriani dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. After having played for 90 minutes, Șerban Zota managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 94th minute Vali Maftei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Valeriani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
