Spectators: 7432 (Terracing: 5575, Seating: 1709, VIP seats: 148) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nicolae Pășcuțoiu kicked off to start the match. Călin Buciu hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Zenon Setara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Jurand Charlos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the game, Nicolae Pășcuțoiu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Gică Păltineanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Herbert Dalman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jurand Charlos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zenon Setara in the 15th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cata's Iurie Urdăreanu got a free kick in the 21st minute. Liviu Vaştag hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Zenon Setara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jurand Charlos having to interfere. Jurand Charlos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zenon Setara in the 27th minute of the match. Jurand Charlos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herbert Dalman, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 31 minutes into the game, Filip Caraiman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cirstovani's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cata the free kick. After a rather tough play, Cirstovani's Filip Caraiman got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute, Remus Tache hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jurand Charlos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herbert Dalman in the 37th minute of play. With a little luck, Cirstovani's Gică Păltineanu got control of the ball when Călin Buciu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 43rd minute of the game. One of Cirstovani:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cata:s goal. The goalkeeper, Gică Păltineanu, was totally fooled by Cata's Iurie Urdăreanu, who 44 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Herbert Dalman to strike the kick off in the second half. Michael Abrahamsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jurand Charlos. Cata's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 54th minute, Zenon Setara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jurand Charlos was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Gică Păltineanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liviu Vaştag, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Cirstovani were furious when Michael Abrahamsson was red carded, 65 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Gică Păltineanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolae Pășcuțoiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gică Păltineanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liviu Vaştag in the 76th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Cirstovani's goal looked a bit too open when Cosmin Corcoveanu came free, but Gică Păltineanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gică Păltineanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolae Pășcuțoiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After a rather tough play, Cata's Liviu Vaştag got a free kick in the 80th minute. 81 minutes into the game, Nicolae Pășcuțoiu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cirstovani the free kick. Nicolae Pășcuțoiu kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 84th match minute, Cata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horaţiu Bunoaică to maneuver through the defense. 96 minutes into the game, Zenon Setara recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jurand Charlos. Zenon Setara showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. When the referee ended the match the Cata players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
