The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With an all-out effort, FC Universitatea Craiova's Ernesto Unax threw himself towards the right post 3 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aurelian Bot, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Mugur Minda made in the 4th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Universitatea Craiova's Aurelian Bot. Cătălin Lucian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucrețiu Paraschiv in the 6th minute of play. Adrian Bacalu lost his temper 8 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. A collision led to FC Universitatea Craiova getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Adrian Bacalu hit a great ball. 10 minutes into the match, FC UPT's 黄浩烽 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cătălin Lucian narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 11 minutes into the match, FC Universitatea Craiova's goal looked a bit too open when Calistrat Cârstea came free, but Cătălin Lucian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cătălin Lucian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucrețiu Paraschiv in the 14th minute of play. Cătălin Lucian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 黄浩烽, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cătălin Lucian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 黄浩烽, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC UPT's zone, Aurelian Bot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Unax came out of the goal and Aurelian Bot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Petrică Sârbu made in the 40th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Universitatea Craiova's Toader Udup. Aurelian Bot might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernesto Unax. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aurelian Bot ran back to his position shaking his head. The excitement rose when FC UPT's Calistrat Cârstea after 43 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for FC Universitatea Craiova's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 0-4. Cătălin Lucian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 黄浩烽 in the 47th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aurelian Bot made a kick off. After 51 minutes of play, FC UPT's Dacian Alucai made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cătălin Lucian was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Tudor Arnăuțescu took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Cătălin Lucian to make any attempt to save it. The crowd rose to their feet as 黄浩烽 kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cătălin Lucian. That made the score 0-7 in the 60 minute of play. Ernesto Unax made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelian Bot in the 65th minute of play. Cătălin Lucian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dacian Alucai in the 67th minute. With a little luck, FC Universitatea Craiova's Cătălin Lucian got control of the ball when 黄浩烽 tried to sneak it across the goal line. Toader Udup might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernesto Unax. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Toader Udup ran back to his position shaking his head. FC UPT's Ernesto Unax played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelian Bot in the 77th minute of play. The long shot by Lucrețiu Paraschiv in the 79th minute really tested Cătălin Lucian's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Cătălin Lucian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Calistrat Cârstea in the 81st minute. Cătălin Lucian made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Lucrețiu Paraschiv sent off a good shot on target. In the 85th minute Antanas Podėris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Unax saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC UPT's Ernesto Unax played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Toma in the 88th minute of play. Aurelian Bot took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ernesto Unax. Ernesto Unax dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-7. Cătălin Lucian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 黄浩烽, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Cătălin Lucian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tudor Arnăuțescu in the 96th minute of play.
