Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ivan Ponta started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivan Ponta in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristi Guriță saved UFC Vulpeni from getting behind. A collision led to UFC Vulpeni getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Bogdan Mardarie hit a great ball. UFC Vulpeni's Eric Cosor got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eduard Curta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cezar Goicea in the 12th minute of play. When Viitoru CSM's Ivan Ponta in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UFC Vulpeni's goalie prevented a goal. Viitoru CSM's Eduard Curta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cezar Goicea in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Cosor in the 19th minute of play forced Viitoru CSM's goalkeeper Eduard Curta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ivan Ponta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doru Scutaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Cristi Guriță tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 25 played minutes Viitoru CSM got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Arapașu. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivan Ponta in the 30th managed to get into a good position. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 31 played minutes Viitoru CSM got a freekick which was hit by Isac Udrea. Eduard Curta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Cosor in the 33rd minute of the match. Eduard Curta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Cosor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isac Udrea was shown his second yellow card after 35 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Ivan Ponta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristi Guriță read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Bogdan Mardarie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UFC Vulpeni's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Viitoru CSM the free kick. Bogdan Mardarie kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. 49 minutes into the match, Cezar Goicea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eduard Curta. Viitoru CSM's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cezar Goicea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eric Cosor to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, UFC Vulpeni's Eric Cosor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eduard Curta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Emanuel Arapașu fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Viitoru CSM's protests and gave Emanuel Arapașu a yellow card for diving instead. After 59 played minutes Viitoru CSM got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Arapașu. In the 62ndth minute of the game Ivan Ponta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but UFC Vulpeni's Cristi Guriță was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bogdan Mardarie hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Ivan Ponta struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Cristi Guriță didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viitoru CSM. Cristi Guriță didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emanuel Arapașu went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The referee felt a red card was in order, 73 minutes into the game, when Eliodor Văcaru put in a rough tackle. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Viitoru CSM! The goalkeeper, Eduard Curta, was totally fooled by UFC Vulpeni's Ernest Jucan, who 76 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Cezar Goicea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Viitoru CSM's Eduard Curta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Viitoru CSM from getting a goal against them. If Emanuel Arapașu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 95 played minutes UFC Vulpeni got a freekick which was hit by Bogdan Mardarie. In the 102nd minute, UFC Vulpeni's Eric Cosor ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eduard Curta. Eduard Curta yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. UFC Vulpeni walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
