Spectators: 6688 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1688, VIP seats: 0) Mugurel Stelea started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Emanuel Gâgea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugur Dima in the 3rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eugen Pascaru got free with Panait Brad in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mugurel Stelea was extremely unlucky when he, in the 13th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Eugen Pascaru struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Panait Brad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Busesti. 18 minutes into the match, Titirigi's Mugur Dima sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emanuel Gâgea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Titirigi's goalkeeper Panait Brad had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eugen Pascaru. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Mugurel Stelea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Busesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Mugurel Stelea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Panait Brad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 31 minutes, Constantin Hizo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Titirigi and the Busesti players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vasile Panescu hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. If Mugurel Stelea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Busesti's Mugurel Stelea got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mugur Pelin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mugur Dima was the one to do the kick off. Emanuel Gâgea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mugur Pelin in the 52nd minute. After having played for 53 minutes, Mugur Pelin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Titirigi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mugur Pelin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Titirigi's zone, Mugurel Stelea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Panait Brad came out of the goal and Mugurel Stelea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugen Pascaru in the 63rd minute of play forced Titirigi's goalkeeper Panait Brad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mugur Pelin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th match minute, Titirigi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugen Lovin to maneuver through the defense. Eugen Pascaru spun around in front of the goal 71 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Titirigi's goal. The attack was good, but when Mugurel Stelea in the 76th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Eugen Pascaru took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Panait Brad. Panait Brad dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 83rd minute Mugurel Stelea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Panait Brad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mugurel Stelea in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Panait Brad saved Titirigi from getting behind. Mugur Pelin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Emanuel Gâgea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mugur Dima came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Titirigi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mugur Dima couldn't finish the play. If Eugen Pascaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Busesti had won after a very even match.
