Spectators: 7377 (Terracing: 5534, Seating: 1696, VIP seats: 147) Cristinel Albu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. FC Cetatuia's Vasile Manolescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiberiu Zberea in the 2nd minute of play. When Gică Copil came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Club13 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gică Copil couldn't finish the play. Tiberiu Zberea struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Vasile Manolescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club13. After a defensive mix-up in FC Cetatuia's zone, Gică Copil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vasile Manolescu came out of the goal and Gică Copil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tiberiu Zberea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vasile Manolescu having to make a save. Claudiu Mutu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristinel Albu, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The audience was convinced that Cristinel Albu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudiu Mutu was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Cristinel Albu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Claudiu Mutu came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristinel Albu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 28th minute. Vasile Manolescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gică Copil in the 38th minute of play. Iulian Savin's late challenge caught a Club13's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iulian Savin helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC Cetatuia's Iulian Savin got a free kick in the 38th minute. Vasile Manolescu came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Club13's Tiberiu Zberea. But to his dismay, Tiberiu Zberea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 48 minutes into the match, Club13's Tiberiu Zberea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vasile Manolescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tiberiu Zberea was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, FC Cetatuia's Vasile Manolescu got control of the ball when Gică Copil tried to sneak it across the goal line. During the 61st minute of the match Iulian Savin completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Iulian Savin a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 63rd minute of the match Codrin Homescu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vasile Manolescu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gică Copil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vasile Manolescu having to interfere. Tiberiu Zberea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vasile Manolescu having to interfere. Gică Copil's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Vasile Manolescu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Basarab Bănățeanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Claudiu Mutu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basarab Bănățeanu in the 76th minute of play forced Club13's goalkeeper Claudiu Mutu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gică Copil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vasile Bălăiță hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Vasile Manolescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiberiu Zberea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Club13's Tiberiu Zberea in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Cetatuia's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiberiu Zberea got free with Vasile Manolescu in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tiberiu Zberea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vasile Manolescu having to make a save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Club13 had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
