Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dorel Siniştean kicked off to start the match. Thanks to some nice moves Iordache Popârcea could shoot a difficult shot in the 2nd minute, which Denis Ielciu however easily saved by the left post. Eliodor Videanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorel Siniştean in the 4th minute of play. Dorel Siniştean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Eliodor Videanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luca Istrăteanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliodor Videanu having to interfere. Luca Istrăteanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eliodor Videanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Eliodor Videanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Istrăteanu in the 19th minute of the match. Iordache Popârcea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luna AFC's Denis Ielciu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorel Stamate in the 27th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Cetateaua's zone, Luca Istrăteanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliodor Videanu came out of the goal and Luca Istrăteanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Denis Ielciu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorel Stamate, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Luna AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Dorel Stamate scored to the left of an out of position Denis Ielciu, making the score, 1-0. Eliodor Videanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Barbălată in the 35th minute of play. Luna AFC's Dorel Siniştean got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Dorel Stamate came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Cetateaua fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dorel Stamate couldn't finish the play. If Dorel Stamate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dorel Stamate stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Petrică Iliuță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luca Istrăteanu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Eliodor Videanu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Luna AFC booed when Cetateaua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mircea Enoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vasile Păsărin, 64 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Dorel Siniştean struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Eliodor Videanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Luna AFC. With his leg Eliodor Videanu managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Luna AFC's Dorel Siniştean fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Luca Istrăteanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denis Ielciu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iordache Popârcea in the 82nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Constantin Otețea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cetateaua's supporters rose to their feet, but Constantin Otețea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
