In the 12th minute Iordache Bobeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgil Baba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th match minute, AS Trattoria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doru Rotariu to maneuver through the defense. Denis Hrandabur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Virgil Baba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurențiu Unchiaşu in the 25th minute of the match. Dataseni UFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Stefan Engman in the 27th minute. A nice corner shot did that Stefan Engman got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Virgil Baba quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doru Oncu in the 28th minute of play forced AS Trattoria's goalkeeper Virgil Baba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, AS Trattoria's goal looked a bit too open when Iordache Bobeanu came free, but Virgil Baba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Virgil Baba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurențiu Unchiaşu, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. AS Trattoria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Toader Oargă was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Laurențiu Unchiaşu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Doru Oncu in the 51stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Virgil Baba, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doru Oncu got free with Virgil Baba in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 54th minute of the match Dataseni UFC got a corner. AS Trattoria's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. After taking down the ball on Dataseni UFC's corner Stefan Engman fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Virgil Baba quite easily take care of the ball.
